22nd China (Liangshan) Special Purpose Vehicle Exhibition Opens with Strong International Participation
The 22nd China (Liangshan) Special Purpose Vehicle Exhibition, an event focused on trailers, used commercial trucks, and auto parts, opened on September 17 in Liangshan County, Jining City, Shandong Province. Running until September 19, the exhibition is co-hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the Shandong Automobile Industry Association.
This year's event has drawn more than 600 companies from across the industry chain, including over 100 complete-vehicle manufacturers and more than 500 parts suppliers. The total exhibition area spans approximately 100,000 square meters.Notably, over 20 international companies are participating.Purchasing delegations from 35 countries and regions are attending to negotiate deals.
The exhibition features five core zones: complete vehicles, parts and components, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, export-customized models, and used commercial vehicle trading and export.More than 100 export-customized vehicle models specifically designed for overseas markets are on display.Products on show cover a full spectrum of the supply chain, from commercial vehicles, new energy vehicles, and modified vehicles to axles, wheels, landing gear, tires, hydraulic cylinders, welding robots, and new materials, extending even to AI robotics.
International buyers have responded enthusiastically. Eisa, a business owner from Saudi Arabia attending for the second time, said his company's business inquiries have grown from single digits to over a hundred since his first visit to Liangshan last year.A Nigerian overseas sales manager remarked that Liangshan's products are in high demand overseas, especially in countries undergoing rapid industrial development.The exhibition venue features bilingual Chinese-English signage, a dedicated channel for international exhibitors, and interpretation services in four languages.
The event also includes several side activities, such as the China (Liangshan) Commercial Vehicle and Parts Export Development Conference, a Shandong automotive industry chain procurement matchmaking session, and a seminar on Saudi market access for semi-trailers and protective fencing. Cross-border livestreaming and e-commerce workshops are also being held to help enterprises connect with international markets.
As the only national-level exhibition in China's special purpose vehicle industry, the China (Liangshan) Special Purpose Vehicle Exhibition has been held for 22 consecutive editions since 2005 and is regarded as a bellwether for the sector.Liangshan's special purpose vehicle industry has developed over 44 years into a complete industrial cluster. In the first half of 2026 alone, the county's special purpose vehicle sector generated sales revenue of 16.004 billion yuan (approximately $2.2 billion), up 25.79 percent year on year.Local vehicles are now exported to 122 countries and regions across Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, with seven overseas factories established in countries including Russia, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Nigeria.
