How a Buyer in Côte d’Ivoire Found Us on Google for Two Used HOWO Dump Trucks

Kouassi’s first WhatsApp message was short:

“I saw your website on Google. Are you a real company? I need two used dump trucks for Côte d’Ivoire.”

He runs a small transport business in Abidjan. He had a road project near Yamoussoukro, hauling laterite and gravel. His old tippers kept overheating, and he needed 6×4 trucks that could handle mud and bad roads in the rainy season.

He wasn’t looking for the cheapest truck. He wanted one that would start every morning and not get stuck in the bush.

We sent him cold start videos at 6 a.m., walkaround videos, hydraulic lift videos, tire photos, and a third-party inspection report. The two tipper trucks were 2019 HOWO 6×4 dump trucks, 371 hp, 18 m³ box, around 92,000 km. We replaced oil, filters, brake valves, and one hydraulic hose. Tires had about 70% life left.

Kouassi asked a lot of questions. Some answers weren’t perfect. One truck had a scratch on the cab. I told him. He laughed and said, “I don’t need a wedding truck. I need a working truck.”

His brother-in-law was in Guangzhou, so he came to our yard to check the trucks in person. He started the engines, lifted the beds, looked under the chassis, and called Kouassi from the yard. After that call, Kouassi paid the 30% deposit.

We loaded the dump trucks in Qingdao. Documents included invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and CTN/BSC for Côte d’Ivoire. Shipping to Abidjan took about 35 days.

After delivery, Now both trucks work 8 to 10 hours a day on the same road project. The rainy season came and went. One driver said the 6×4 was “strong like a camel.”

Kouassi has since asked for prices on another used dump truck and a used excavator. He hasn’t ordered yet. But he knows where to find me.
